After you install Update 2 for SAS Enterprise Guide 8.2, a pop-up error message might appear when you save and open your SAS Enterprise Guide projects. This issue occurs with any folders under SAS Folders.

This problem affects only SAS Enterprise Guide installations on Microsoft Windows machines that have regional settings set to a locale other than English.

For example, you encounter this issue when you perform steps similar to the following:

1. You set the regional settings to Italian, French, or any locale other than English on a client machine on which SAS Enterprise Guide 8.2 is installed.
2. You create a new project in SAS Enterprise Guide 8.2, Update 2. When you try to save it in the SAS Folders\Shared Data location, the following error occurs:

There are two workarounds for this problem:

• Change your Windows client regional settings from the current locale to English.
• Modify the SystemSettings.xml file in C:\Users\userid\AppData\Roaming\SAS\SharedSettings\8\Engine as follows:

1. Create a backup copy of the file.
2. Add the following string under the <Directory> section:
